Saber Interactive is having somewhat of a bad time with the NBA Playgrounds franchise. First it was the first game’s fiasco on the Switch, then it was the upcoming NBA Playground 2’s delay on all platforms. Thinks just doesn’t look good for them.
As a result Saber Interactive has has gone on to cancel preorders of the game for anyone who has preordered the game as they try to grapple with the understanding of what went wrong. Speaking to Polygon, Saber Interactive’s representative said:
“Since the extent of NBA Playgrounds 2’s delay is unknown, we feel the right thing to do for our fans and players is refund pre-orders.”
Looks like Saber Interactive needs quite a bit more time to work on a game that they’re unsure how broken it is themselves.
