The NEOGEO Mini International Version, which (in our own opinion) looks uglier than the Japanese Version, is launching in Japan in early November 2018.
The International Version comes with 40 NEOGEO games. Out of the 40, 14 are different from the Japanese Version. In addition you can’t play the games on the International Version in Japanese (but you can play them in English on the Japanese Version). It costs 13,824 yen, about 8 dollars more than the Japanese Version.
At the time of writing, the NEOGEO Mini International Version has sold out at most retailers across Japan, even though the packaging and manuals are in English. Perhaps it’s time to ask SNK whether they’d bring the Japanese Version over to the west.
