Although there have been numerous leaks about the Switch 2’s hardware over the past several months, there have been comparatively few rumblings about the games that will be released for the console.
In the latest episode of his podcast, industry insider Nate The Hate claimed to know of several ports that are coming to the console. Firstly, Nate claims that Microsoft is porting Halo: The Master Chief Collection as well as Microsoft Flight Simulator to the Switch 2. If this is accurate, this would be the first time the mainline Halo games have made an appearance on a Nintendo console, and would be in line with Microsoft’s Phil Spencer’s comments about there being “no red lines” for what they could port to other platforms.
Next, Nate also claims that Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will ” also be coming to Nintendo Switch 2″. A previous store leak listed several Square Enix titles for the Switch 2, and both games in the Final Fantasy 7 remake series are highly requested and often speculated for the new console. Nate claims Remake will launch for Switch 2 in 2025, and Rebirth will come in 2026.
As with all claims of this nature, we caution readers to take them with a grain of salt. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
