A few hours ago, Netflix reportedly leaked that a new Sonic The Hedgehog 3D animated series was heading to their streaming platform.
The news was leaked via Netflix’s official Twitter account, which released a post stating that the new series would be premiering in 2022, created by Sega, WildBrain, and Man of Action Entertainment. However, the tweet was quickly removed by the account with no explanation given.
At the time of this writing, it is unknown when the tweet will return. Some speculate that the announcement was intended to be made during The Game Awards 2020 show later today, and that the Netflix Twitter account accidentally leaked it early. We will be sure to report back with more details should they become available.
