A new certification for HAT-001 has been filed by Nintendo in South Korea, which is apparently a development kit for Nintendo Switch.
According to the certification, HAT-001 is a “low power wireless device”, a description given to other machines such as Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS.
HAT-001 also follows the same naming scheme for other Nintendo consoles. The Nintendo Switch product code is HAC-001, while the Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 3DS XL, and Nintendo 2DS are CTR-001, SPR-001, and FTR-001 respectively. -001 is usually reserved for Nintendo consoles, with higher numbers taken by accessories.
