Nintendo has a complicated relationship when it comes to putting their games out to the Chinese market, from selling in a different name to now working with Nvidia, it seems like Nintendo is trying out a whole slew of methods.
With the burgeoning relationship between Nintendo and Nvidia, Nintendo decided to put some of their Wii games on the Chinese Nvidia Shield. You can take a look at an ad for the Wii games on the Nvidia Shield below.
The Nvidia Shield runs on a Nvidia Tegra line of chips, which also powers the Nintendo Switch. Theoretically speaking, since the Nvidia Shield’s Wii games were remastered and native to the console, it could be ported to the Switch with minimal changes. Whether or not they will eventually come to the Switch is still anybody’s guess though.
