The Pokemon Company has announced two Special Anime featuring series protagonist Ash Ketchum for Japan.
Firstly, a one-episode special called “Distant Blue Sky” was announced. This special is due to air on December 23rd 2022, and will feature an encounter between Ash and a boy called Haruto. Further details have yet to be shared.
Secondly, an 11-episode mini-series called “Aim To Be A Pokémon Master”. This series will also feature Ash, as well as classic companions Misty and Brock. This series is planned to air starting January 13th 2023. According to some reports, this series will be the “Final Chapter” in the story of Ash & Pikachu, seemingly confirming that Ash will indeed not be the main character of the new series.
