Earlier this week, Nintendo finally released a patch to resolve some issues in Paper Mario: The Origami King. While some of its largest problems have been resolved, however, it looks like Nintendo might have overlooked a few more…
YouTuber Gaming Reinvented has reportedly discovered another bug in the game that can freeze it up completely. As they explain in the video below, this can happen when Mario uses a POW Block during the Boss Sumo Bro battle, while the other smaller Sumo Bro is still present on the battlefield:
Once this glitch occurs, Mario becomes frozen in mid-air and can no longer move – thereby forcing the player to restart from their last save point. It’s certainly not as game-breaking as the game’s previous bug, but we imagine it’s still going to sting if you lose a chunk of your progress from it.
As of now, it’s not entirely clear what is causing this glitch – although it might have something to do with the remaining Sumo Bro. Nevertheless, you may want to act carefully while fighting this enemy in the game.
We’ll report back if or when we get an update on this situation. Stay tuned.
