New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe Exceeds 500,000 Copies Sold In Japan

Another week, and more sales data have been published by Media Create for the Japanese market (March 11 to March 17, 2019).

Last week Japan saw the release of three major PS4 titles, so the bestselling Nintendo Switch game last week was Super Smash Bros. Ultimate at No. 4 (20,706 copies), followed by New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe at No. 5 (16,997) on the bestseller charts.

New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe’s lifetime sales at retail have exceeded 500,000 copies – the game has moved 516,540 copies as of last week, all in the span of 2 months.

Nintendo Switch sales continue to remain strong in Japan, with 56,594 consoles sold in a single week taking 59.4% market share.
