Another day, another trademark filing. This time Nintendo has applied for a bunch of trademarks for a number of the IP and characters for merchandising uses.
According to Japanese Nintendo, here are the new trademarks Nintendo has applied for:
Kinoko Kingdom (English name)
Kinoko Oukoku (Japanese name)
Wario (English and Japanese)
Waluigi (English and Japanese)
Koopa Jr. (English and Japanese)
Gesso (English and Japanese words)
1UP (English word)
As usual, no one really knows what Nintendo will do with these trademark fillings, but since they’re for merchandises, maybe we’ll be seeing a bunch of new goodies.
