Next Dragon Quest Title In Development Could Be An Action RPG

Today we have some interesting news about the genre of the next Dragon Quest game that is currently in development.

Earlier this year, Square Enix started hiring developers to work on a new Dragon Quest HD title that is the successor to Dragon Quest XI. Today we may have learned what that new title could be thanks to a new job listing where the company is looking for a battle system planner.

According to the job listing, the battle system planner must help to ensure the quality of the game’s 3D action battle system. Many Japanese Dragon Quest fans believe this “3D action battle system” could mean the next Dragon Quest title will completely scrap turn-based battles, turning the next game into an action RPG.
