As you know, there are ways for trainers playing Pokemon GO and Pokemon Let’s GO Pikachu/Eevee on Nintendo Switch to connect their games with each other, to receive exclusive Pokemon such as Meltan and other rewards.
This strategy helped to attract many Pokemon GO trainers to buy a Switch and play Pokemon Let’s GO, so on the surface it looks like a success. But what do Pokemon GO developer Niantic and The Pokemon Company?
Niantic CEO John Hanke recently spoke to Business Insider to discuss about the tie-in between Pokemon GO and Pokemon Let’s GO. In the interview, he said both Niantic and The Pokemon Company are very satisfied with the collaboration and are looking for ways to pull off similar synergies in the future. He told Business Insider that both companies have “benefitted in many ways”.
Lastly, as you would probably expect, Niantic will continue to push out updates for Pokemon GO in 2019.
