Nintendo Comments On Combating Scalpers And Chances Of Opening A Casino

During Nintendo’s 80th annual general meeting of shareholders, two strange questions were asked by members of the audience.

First, an investor asked whether Nintendo had any policy in combating scalpers. Scalpers have been a very big problem during the coronavirus outbreak, as they cashed in on those desperate in getting a Nintendo Switch as it’s currently suffering from shortages.

Nintendo says that due to current laws, it is hard to implement a policy against scalping. Hence, the company is instead focusing on increasing production and shipments of popular products.

Next, another investor asked whether Nintendo had any plans to open a Trump card theme IR casino (Integrated resort casino). The company said they have absolutely no plans to go into that area.

What do you think?
