Nintendo Country Selector Renamed To Region Selector

Today we have some interesting news to share with you about Nintendo’s country selector.

As of December 30, 2019, the country selector website has been renamed the region selector website. The permalink was also changed – if you try to visit nintendo.com/countryselector, you will be brought to nintendo.com/regionselector. Another change was also made – “Please Select a Country” was changed to “Please Select a Region”:

The changes are in line with other industry giants such as Apple, which refer to countries as regions due to political sensitivities in parts of the world.
