Nintendo Dodges Question On A Potential Classic Mini For Game Boy And Nintendo 64

During an interview conducted by Famitsu with Nintendo on the Super Famicom Classic Mini, one of the questions asked by Famitsu was whether Nintendo is currently developing a Game Boy Classic or Nintendo 64 Classic Mini.

Takao Shimizu, Nintendo’s representative at the interview, completely avoided the question and insisted that their top priority now is to ensure the stores are flooded with Famicom Classic Mini and Super Famicom Classic Mini systems. Check out Shimizu’s full comments below.

Firstly we think there aren’t enough (Super Famicom Classic Mini) stock lining up the shelves of retailers. The reason why we implemented the “My Demo” feature on the Super Famicom Classic Mini was partially because we wanted the demo to be running in stores, but that hasn’t happened yet (due to the high demand). I even spoke to Miyamoto, and he wants to see the Famicom Classic Mini and Super Famicom Classic Mini on store shelves first. Below the Famicom Classic Mini and Super Famicom Classic Mini, I want to see Famitsu’s “Famicom News” and “Super Famicom News” together. (Laughs)
