Wonder how hardy the new LEGO Super Mario figurine is? Well, it looks like it will certainly stand up under some rough play!
During an interview with Nintendo Life, LEGO Super Mario lead designer Jonathan Bennink spoke more about with Nintendo on the project. A particularly interesting detail is that Nintendo was quite harsh on testing each prototype of the figure – and dropped each one thousands of times to be sure they would hold up!
“We never had a partner challenge us in safety and quality, and this was the first time! Every time we shipped a Mario to them, they dropped it 6,000 times. That is Nintendo quality – that was new for us!”
The LEGO Super Mario sets will be launching worldwide today (1 August 2020). Will you be grabbing some sets from this new line-up for yourself? Feel free to share with us below!
