Nintendo has revealed the file size for the Nintendo GameCube – Nintendo Classics app on Nintendo Switch 2.
The application will require 3.5 GB of space at launch (on June 5, 2025). It will come with three games – The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, Soul Calibur II, and F-Zero GX.
During the GameCube generation, game ROMs took up about 1.2 to 1.4 GB of space, but in reality, they are much smaller than that after performing data extraction and scrubbing. Assuming the application stores only three titles, the 3.5 GB file size aligns with the unextracted and unscrubbed file size of three GameCube titles.
