Nintendo has reportedly identified one of the leakers behind the Pokemon Sword and Shield leaks.
According to Twitter user @KGPrestige, the leaker was caught because of their profile picture on a Discord chat. Nintendo employees traced the source behind the profile picture and identified their Youtube channel, and later their Facebook account because their Facebook account is connected to their Youtube channel. From there, it was easy to identify the leaker in real life since the leaker’s Facebook account has their real name.
It is unclear how the leaker managed to get access to an early copy of Pokemon Sword and Shield, but some speculate they might be a reviewer who received an early copy.
