Nintendo Incorrectly Says Animal Crossing: New Horizons Is First Game In The Series Localized In Chinese

Nintendo Hong Kong has made a small blunder in their official Animal Crossing: New Horizons trailer for Hong Kong and Taiwan.

The company claimed that Animal Crossing: New Horizons is the first game in the Animal Crossing series to be localized in Chinese:

That’s however, incorrect – the first Animal Crossing game that was localized in Chinese is Animal Crossing, which was released for the iQue 64 in China. That said, the Chinese version was never released in Hong Kong and Taiwan, so that could explain why this mistake was made.

What do you think? Let us know in the comments.
