Nintendo Kicks Off New “Splatoon Turf Quiz” Video Series On Japan’s JR East Trains

Commuters in Japan can now expect to enjoy an occasional helping of Splatoon fun for the next few weeks!

Nintendo Co. Ltd has kicked off a new series of “Splatoon Turf Quiz” videos that feature silent animations of Splatoon 3 characters fighting in a 3-way turf war while a squid-related trivia question is shown. These videos will be playing on JR East trains to entertain commuters, although you can check out the first one below.

If you cannot read Japanese, this first trivia video asks viewers: “What do squids have 3 of? A) Hearts, B) Eyes, or C) Mouths?

This isn’t the first time Nintendo has used public transport to promote its games. Previously, the company also released a series of “60 Second Challenge! Save Luigi!!” videos, which feature animations of Mario trying to save Luigi from Bowser along with short trivia questions as well.
