A study comparing the reputation of major companies in the US has ranked Nintendo among the top ten most reputable companies in the US.
The study was conducted by the Reputation Institute, a data technology company and reputation management specialist. In total, the reputations of over 2,000 companies were examined for the study. Nintendo took the ninth place overall, earning a spot in the top ten alongside companies such as Netflix, Rolex, Hasbro, & Lego.
The top 10 companies in the 2019 U.S. RepTrak 100 are:
1. Netflix
2. Hershey
3. Whirlpool
4. Rolex
5. McCormick & Company
6. Barnes & Noble
7. Hasbro
8. Costco Wholesale
9. Nintendo
10. The LEGO Group
Compared to previous years’ RepTrak surveys, Nintendo has made quite a few jumps in the rankings. Last year, Nintendo placed 12th in the rankings, while the year before that (2017) they came in at 56th place. Evidently, Nintendo has been doing a pretty good job improving its image over the past two years. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for the company, and if they will be able to keep up the good PR moving forward.
