Nintendo Misses Best Play Store Game Of 2017, But Has Multiple Games Make The List

Google has just announced the Best Play Store Game of 2017 and the award goes to CATS: Crash Arena Turbo Stars. The PVP robot fighting game took the top spot despite a strong lineup from Nintendo.

However, Nintendo fans need not be disappointed, some of Nintendo’s mobile lineup made it into the top list in.

Despite only being launched last month, Animal Crossing Pocket Camper has made it into the top list of the social category. Also on the top list for the Social category is Pokemon Go.

Magikarp Jump also got acknowledged in the Best to Pick Up & Play category.

However, Nintendo’s crowning achievement in the mobile sector is still Nintendo’s very own Super Mario Run. The game not only made it into the overall top list, it is also the most downloaded new Play Store game of 2017.

Others that made it into the list includes The Gentlebros’ Cat Quest in the Best Indie category.

It would seem that Nintendo is slowly getting a firm footing in the Mobile arena as the company plans to release 2 to 3 mobile games each year. Hopefully next year we will see a Nintendo game take the top spot.
