Nintendo of America Employee Test Positive For COVID-19

An employee at Nintendo of America in Redmond, Washington has tested positive for COVID-19 according to a statement from the video game company this Thursday evening.

This update comes from the Seattle times who shared the following map displaying which areas of Washington state have had a positive case of the COVID-19 virus as of today.

They also confirmed that this employee had contact with co-workers at the Redmond, Washington office location.

In reaction, Nintendo employees who were in contact with the individual who has been confirmed to have the virus are now in self-quarantine according to Nintendo.

“Nintendo of America is supporting this individual as they recover and will continue to take precautions to safeguard the health and well-being of all our employees and the broader community,” the statement said.

This comes just days after employees in Washington and California were given permission to work from home.
