Nintendo Patents “Semiconductor Power Device” In Japan

A mysterious patent has been registered with the Japanese patent office in September 2019.

According to patent filings, the patent is for a “Semiconductor Power Device” that “aims to provide an energising device capable of reducing the possibility that an unnecessary load is applied to a connector”. On the surface, the accessory looks like a Nintendo Switch Adjustable Charging Stand, so it seems there is nothing special about this.

What do you think?
