Nintendo has started planning to manufacture 25 million to 30 million Nintendo Switch units for the next fiscal year, which begins in April 2018.
According to the Wall Street Journal, this information comes from business partners close to Nintendo. The plan is still in its early stages, thus the number of Nintendo Switch units for the next fiscal year could potentially increase depending on the console’s performance this holiday season.
During the last fiscal briefing, Nintendo aimed to sell 16 million Nintendo Switch units by the end of March 2018. They have promised to ramp up production to meet the increasing demand.
