Seven years ago, Nintendo officially revealed the Nintendo Switch with a now historic video trailer, forever transforming the gaming landscape.
Now, Nintendo has mysteriously privated the official upload of the video, meaning that it is no longer available for fans to watch, as seen in the link below:
This is not the first time that Nintendo has privated a reveal trailer related to the Switch. Last year, the company privated the reveal trailers for the Switch Lite and the Switch OLED, of which only the OLED’s has been reinstated.
Back when the OLED trailer was privated, Nintendo eventually revealed the Splatoon 3 Switch OLED, and this has led many to speculate that the removal of the Switch trailer is heralding a similar reveal, such as the long rumored Switch successor. That said, others have pointed out that it could just be due to the trailer’s music license expiring, as it has been almost seven years since the trailer’s debut.
