To raise awareness of indie games in Japan, Nintendo has started a new initiative called Indie World in Japan.

Indie World was officially kicked off via a Nintendo Direct style broadcast featuring Soejima and Boku. The duo introduced upcoming indie games for Nintendo Switch, coming to the Japanese market in the near future. Most of the games announced have been available in the west for some time. Indie World has also received an official website, which will be updated regularly.
