Nintendo Co., Ltd. have applied for another round of trademarks in Japan, this time for Pokemon GO.
Rather than names, this set of three trademarks are for logos, specifically the logos of Pokemon GO‘s Team Valor, Team Mystic, and Team Instinct. The purposes of these trademarks are for “computer game software, smartphone covers, trading cards, video game machines, plush dolls, jigsaw puzzles, board games, and more”.
This could mean there is more Pokemon GO related physical merchandise on the way, or it could just be a precaution on Nintendo’s part to prevent misuse and infringement.
