Earlier this week, Nintendo decided to drop the price of the base model of Switch in Europe and the UK, leaving many wondering whether similar price drops may be making their way to other parts of the world.
Unfortunately, it seems Nintendo might have no such plans in the pipeline. According to Axios Gaming newsletter co-author, Stephen Totilo, his contacts at Nintendo have told him that the price adjustment is for the European region only, and there are “no plans” for a similar drop in price for the US, and presumably, other countries.
Of course, such a statement now does not necessarily rule out an eventual price drop somewhere down the line. We will be sure to report back with any updates as they come.
