Nintendo Sales Employee Tests Positive For Coronavirus

An employee working at Nintendo Sales Co Ltd, the Japanese distribution subsidiary of Nintendo, has tested positive for the coronavirus.

According to Nintendo Sales, the employee, who works at the company’s Osaka office, had a fever on July 22 and was tested positive on July 23. Upon receiving the news, Nintendo Sales conducted disinfection at said employee’s workplace, started contact tracing close contacts, and mandated telework for all employees at the Osaka office.

Nintendo Sales formally apologized for causing inconvenience to related personnel, and will continue to take measures to reduce the spread of the virus, which saw a resurgence in July in Japan.
