As we reported in January 2018, the Nintendo Switch has become much easier to find at retail in Japan.
When Nintendo was asked to comment on the Switch shortage situation in Japan by Business Journal, Nintendo responded that the shortages have almost been fully resolved and they have not heard any complains from customers as of the end of January 2018.
We are shipping the Switch every week and recently the shortages have almost been resolved. At present (as of the end of January 2018), we receive almost no feedback from our customers regarding shortages.
Online retailers in Japan such as Amazon and Rakuten do not have the Switch readily in stock yet, but once that happens, we could declare that it’s over.
