Nintendo Has Started Thinking About The Switch’s Successor

In an interview with Japanese newspaper Asahi, Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima was asked about Nintendo’s plans for their future console after the Switch.

Unsurprisingly, Nintendo has started laying out plans for their next generation console after the Switch, just like they did immediately after the launch of their previous hardware. Kimishima mentioned that as technology continues evolve and consumer preferences change, they have to decide whether to include these technology (such as AI speakers) into their next hardware until the very end.

Once Nintendo has determined how they want their next console to be like, they will no longer be able to change it. The company is also thinking about the console’s release timing in a “flexible way”.
