It seems that scalpers have successfully sold Nintendo Switch 2 GameCube controllers, offered exclusively to Nintendo Switch Online members on My Nintendo Store, on eBay for a hefty price.

As of May 14, 2025, dozens of Nintendo Switch 2 GameCube controllers were sold for USD140 to USD160 on eBay, almost 2.5x the original USD64.99 price.

While the controller is currently out of stock on My Nintendo Store in the US, it is expected to be replenished on a regular basis, similar to other retro controllers offered to Nintendo Switch Online members.

Fans upset by this development have been trying to take down these listings by reporting them to eBay, though the sold listings suggest that it isn’t working and the huge markup isn’t deterring some people.
