Nintendo Switch Best Sold Console In History When Comparing First 10 Months

Nintendo is on a streak. Although it was not the best selling console of 2017, that goes to the PlayStation 4 (as the Switch was only released in March). However, when comparing the Switch’s first 10 month of sales to all the other consoles in history, we get something amazing.

In a NPD research, the Nintendo Switch is the best selling console in history when comparing the console’s first 10 month sales data with every other console’s first 10 month.

“On a time-aligned basis through the first 10 months on the market, Nintendo Switch has sold more consoles than any other platform in history,” NPD analyst Mat Piscatella said.

Which is amazing. This means that the Nintendo Switch is the clear inheritor of the Wii’s success and is going even further than what Nintendo Wii has ever achieved.
