Nintendo Switch Lite Buttons Feel Very Different From Nintendo Switch

Today we have some interesting information to share with you about the Nintendo Switch Lite ahead of its launch on September 20.

Reddit user cocqi, who works at an electronics store in New York, had the opportunity to play on the Nintendo Switch Lite for a brief amount of time. During his short time with the Switch Lite, they made a few observations.

First, they noted that the Nintendo Switch Lite’s ABXY buttons and D-Pad feel different from the Nintendo Switch. He explained that they felt “mushy” or “squishy”. The D-Pad feels “more accurate” than before and similar to the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller.

As for the other buttons, the L/R/ZL/ZR buttons remain unchanged, whereas the volume button “feels like one button” with a “sensor to adjust the volume”. As for the sound quality of the Switch Lite, it isn’t as good as the Switch and the volume isn’t as great either.

Also commented on was the color of the system and the small black bezel surrounding the screen. Because the yellow/turquoise colors contrast so much against the black bezel, it makes the bezel “very noticeable” during gameplay. The gray unit didn’t had any issues, though. Last but not least, the Switch Lite felt like a “very sturdy unit”.
