The Weekly Famitsu has published the latest sales charts for the Japanese market, giving us a better idea at how video game hardware is moving in Japan.
From February 17 to February 23, 2020, the Nintendo Switch Lite sold 30,640 units, while the Nintendo Switch moved 10,850 units. This is the second consecutive week the Nintendo Switch Lite has outsold the Nintendo Switch in Japan.
Typically, the Nintendo Switch outsells the Nintendo Switch Lite by a vast margin in Japan, but for the last 2 weeks that hasn’t been the case due to shortages caused by the ongoing coronavirus outbreak. At this point, this trajectory will probably continue until the coronavirus is under control in China.
