Nintendo Switch On Track To Sell 10 Million Systems In Japan This Year

Today we have some interesting news to share with you about Nintendo Switch hardware sales in Japan.

As of September 14, 2019, the Nintendo Switch has sold 8.92 million systems in Japan. The release of the longer battery model gave sales a much needed boost, and the launch of the Nintendo Switch Lite is expected to do the same next week.

Assuming both the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite sell at least a combined total of 75,000 units every week (the Nintendo Switch moved 75,000 units last week and 90,000 units the week before), lifetime sales will exceed 10 million units in Japan before 2019 ends.
