Nintendo Switch Sports Servers Temporarily Taken Offline After Latest Patch Causes Crashes

Earlier this week, Nintendo launched a new update for Nintendo Switch Sports, which included changes intended to combat “disruptive behavior” in the game amongst other adjustments.

Unfortunately, it seems that this update also introduced a bug that would cause the game to crash during the pre-match loading screen, for both online and offline play. To investigate the issue, Nintendo has taken down the game’s servers temporarily, disabling offline and online play, as well as save data backups. The update itself has also been suspended.

At the time of this writing, Nintendo has not stated when the servers will come back online. Stay tuned for more as it comes.
