Nintendo Switch Will Have Plenty Of Titles In 2018, Says Koizumi

In a recent interview conducted by Japanese gaming site 4Gamer with Nintendo Switch Producer Yoshiaki Koizumi, Koizumi revealed a few small details on Nintendo’s plan for the Nintendo Switch in 2017 and beyond.

Firstly, Koizumi stressed that the number of software on a game system is not only important, but so is “the length of a person’s satisfaction from a game”. Secondly, Nintendo has put a lot of thought into the timing of game releases on Switch, as each game helps to convey to consumers the different plus points of the Switch.

For example, 1-2 Switch was released to explain the Joy-Con to consumers, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild surprised people with the idea of playing a console game on the go, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe helped people get used to the idea of sharing Joy-Con with others, Splatoon 2 showcases the fun of local multiplayer, and finally ARMS was made to show Nintendo’s commitment to making new IP.

Lastly, Koizumi mentioned that Nintendo has plenty of Nintendo Switch titles in store for 2018. In fact, the momentum of game releases will continue from 2017, and there are many IPs that the company hasn’t taken advantage yet for the Switch.
