Nintendo Tells Customers Not To Use Alcohol To Clean Their Joy-Con

During the coronavirus outbreak, many customers have asked Nintendo whether it’s safe to disinfect their Nintendo Switch and/or Joy-Con with alcohol.

The company has told customers that they shouldn’t clean their Nintendo Switch and Joy-Con with alcohol, because there is a possibility that the alcohol would cause the color to fade. They also added that they do not recommend customers to use non-alcohol disinfectants, as there is a possibility that the chemicals could damage the product.

After ruling out those options, Nintendo advised customers to consider using a soft, dry tissue to clean their system and Joy-Con instead.
