Nintendo has updated some of the materials used for their Super Mario Bros. site.

As highlighted by Stealth40K, the official site now includes an updated logo for the series, along with adjustments to several of Mario’s renders to the more detailed design as seen below:

This update has some fans hopeful that Nintendo will soon announce or reveal a new Super Mario Bros. title, especially since the last brand new 3D installment was nearly a decade ago. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
