Nintendo USB Wireless Microphone Heading To Japan

Nintendo has quietly announced a new product for the Japanese market – Nintendo USB Wireless Microphone.

UPDATE: This appears to be a repackaging of the Wii U Wireless Microphone. Thanks to NintenHOME for the heads up.

The Nintendo USB Wireless Microphone is compatible with Nintendo Switch. It’s the very first wireless microphone to be released by Nintendo. You will no longer have to worry about tripping over wires with this new microphone.

Inside the package is a wireless microphone, wireless microphone receiver, and two AAA batteries. The microphone can be used in applications such as Karaoke JOYSOUND. The wireless microphone is planned for a December 2018 release.

Here’s a look at the packaging.

For comparison’s sake, here’s the old Nintendo USB Microphone, which must be connected to the Nintendo Switch Dock.

The wireless microphone costs 5378 yen, while the USB microphone is priced 1944 yen. We’ll let you know once pre-orders begin on Amazon Japan.
