Nintendo Warns Customers Not To Use A Pair Of Scissors To Retrieve Their Prepaid Card Code

The official Nintendo customer support account has put out a post teaching customers how to safely retrieve their Nintendo Prepaid Card’s code.

There are two different types of prepaid cards – one hides the code with a sticker, and then the other hides the code underneath a layer which has to be scratched off.

Nintendo has advised customers to use a light object, such as a coin, to scratch off the layer that hides the code. They have also warned customers against using sharp tools such as a pair of scissors, as it could result in making the code unreadable:
