Nintendo Was The Most-Viewed Gaming Brand On TV From June 16 – July 15

Nintendo is no stranger to pouring lots of money into traditional TV advertising – and this season is certainly no exception!

According to VentureBeat, Nintendo went on advertising overdrive from 16 June 2019 – 15 July 2019. Within those 30 days, the company was responsible for a massive 86% of the entire gaming industry’s ad impressions. Here’s a more detailed break down:

  • Nintendo saw 484.2 million TV ad impressions generated by 10 TV spots, which aired 2,700 times.
  • most-seen ad was “Level of Your Dreams” for Super Mario Maker 2, with 208.1 million impressions.
  • Disney Channel, Nick, and Nick Toons were three of the top impressions-generating networks for Nintendo.

Looks like Nintendo really wanted to push Super Mario Maker 2 for the Summer season! Sadly, there’s no info on what Nintendo’s 9 other TV spots were for this analysis.
