Monster Hunter XX Nintendo Switch will not be getting a free demo on the Nintendo eShop, says Capcom.
In an interview conducted by Hong Kong gaming magazine G-Cores, Monster Hunter XX Nintendo Switch producer Shintaro Kojima told the magazine there are no plans to release a demo for Monster Hunter XX Nintendo Switch.
Q: Will there be a demo released (to eshop)?
A: We won’t release the demo, because you can already try Switch in many part of Japan, and MHXX demo will be available on site, sorry about that
Kojima made a good point – Japanese gamers will be able to experience Monster Hunter XX Switch demos at various events and locations. But this was also the same case for Nintendo 3DS, so it seems Capcom may not see a point in wasting resources on a demo for a game that was originally released on 3DS earlier this year.
This is the first time Capcom is breaking the tradition of making demos for upcoming Monster Hunter games. On Nintendo 3DS, Monster Hunter XX, Monster Hunter X, and other Monster Hunter games all had free demos accessible to players before the game’s launch.
Monster Hunter XX for Nintendo Switch launches in Japan on August 25, 2017.
