NPD Group, the company that tracks video game sales data in the United States, has shared some new information about the Switch’s performance last month.
According to their latest figures, the Switch was the top selling console in the US for the 24th consecutive month in November 2020. Both the Switch and Switch Lite sold a total of 1.35 million units in the US during the month.
For the year as a whole the Switch has sold 6.92 million units in the United States, surpassing in 11 months the total number of systems sold in all of 2019 by over 426,000 units.
Regarding this figures, Nintendo of America senior vice president of sales and marketing Nick Chavez had this to say in a press release:
Nintendo Switch offers a unique proposition for shoppers this holiday season with the ability to play on the TV or portably in handheld mode, We continue to see unprecedented demand for Nintendo Switch, and we are pleased that people of all ages and gaming skill levels will be experiencing Nintendo Switch this holiday and beyond.
