Square Enix has announced a free update for Octopath Traveler 0.

This free update will add a new Monster Arena foe for players to challenge, as well as a new resident to recruit. While not explicitly stated, the Monster Arena foe is implied to be the boss Amatsukami no Orochi while the resident is heavily implied to be Elliot from The Adventures Of Elliot: Millennium Tales. The update will launch in 2026.
