Following the release of Pokemon FireRed/LeafGreen on Switch, rumors began circulating that the other GBA Pokemon games Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald could also be re-releasing on the hybrid console.

Adding more fuel to the speculation, an official Pokemon news account recently posted a clip from Ruby/Sapphire, which fans noticed seemed to be of unusually high resolution and quality. Many believe that this clip was captured on an unannounced Switch version of the games, as official Pokemon news channels rarely post footage of games not running on original hardware. The clip is also about 30 seconds long, which is the length of clips capture on Switch using the dedicated recording button.
