Official Pokemon Website To Discontinue Several Features

The Pokemon Company International has announced it’s retiring a couple of features on the official Pokemon website.

Most of the features that will be discontinued include those from Pokemon Trainer Club and various other features on the site. The features will be discontinued in the next few weeks as part of “refining visitors’ experiences on the site”.

Full details below:

Here at Pokemon.com, we’re always looking for ways to refine visitors’ experiences on the site. As part of this process, we will retire some features in the next few weeks. Many of these are related to the Pokémon Trainer Club.

The following features will be retired from Pokemon.com:

  • The “Play Minigames!” library and leaderboards
  • Pokémon Trainer Club Stamps
  • Pokémon Trainer Club Pokédex Summary
  • Pokémon Trainer Club Collectible Gallery
  • Pokémon TV friend activity
  • Trainer Builder
  • Trainer Store
  • Trainer Tokens

These changes will not affect your current Trainer Tokens or your Trainer avatar in the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online.

Pokémon Trainer Club members will still be able to use their account to track their Play! Pokémon statistics and Pokemon.com friends. Your Pokémon Trainer Club account will also still work to sign in to apps such as Pokémon GO, the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online, and the Pokémon TV mobile app, and to our customer support portal at support.pokemon.com.

These changes will take effect soon. We look forward to continuing to deliver a great experience on Pokemon.com for Trainers around the world.
