Publisher Bandai Namco and developer RENGAME have announced a Switch 2 version of Once Upon A KATAMARI.

The latest game in the Katamari series will release on October 8th 2026 for Switch 2, and will feature  mouse controls, a smoother frame rate, and higher-definition graphics over the Switch version. Players who own the Switch 1 version will have their game updated so that some of these features will be activated if they play their cart on the newer console.

In addition, the “Rolling LIVE Highlights” DLC will release for both versions on the same day, adding the following:

• 10 new quests
• 12 new songs
• Six new cousins
• 18 new accessories

The Switch 2 version of Once Upon A KATAMARI will also receive a physical release with the DLC bundled, although it will be a game-key card.
